Building out the walls

In this recipe, we will be further building out the house by adding parts to represent the doors and windows of the house. We will then be building out both the exterior and interior walls and finishing up by creating a baseboard and top board along the top of the walls. Let’s see how we can do this next.

How to do it…

To begin, we will create a door reference part and paste it throughout the house to indicate where doorways will be. Next, we will place a different colored part around the permitter of the foundation walls to represent the windows. We will then build out the exterior walls, followed by building the interior walls around our labeled room parts. To finish, we will be adding baseboard and top board to the interior walls.
