Now, we are going to display the ASE 3D model, exported from Blender in a Silverlight application with help of Balder, using an image texture:
1. Open the
3DInvadersSilverlight
project.2. Right-click on the
Assets
folder and select Add | Existing item... from the context menu that appears.3. Go to the folder in which you saved the new 3D model, including the link to the texture, in the ASE format (
C:\Silverlight3D\Invaders3D\3DModels\SPACESHIP01
). Select the new ASE file (Ship01_texture01.ase
) and click on Add.4. Click on the ASE file added in the previous step. Change its Build Action property to
Resource
.5. Right-click on the
Assets
folder and select Add | Existing item... from the context menu that appears. Now, you are going to add the bitmap to use as a texture.6. Go to the folder in which you saved the PNG to use as a texture (
