In this chapter, we will take a closer look at the service module to evaluate potential actions that are triggered, based on service-related information. You may say you don't need the service module. However, the concept introduced in the following pages will utilize the service module features to establish a guaranteed response time for customers. You will see that there are various angles to look at service. In addition to its more traditional view, service can be used to establish a service-level-type management for customers and the related sales opportunities. Basically, the service module can be used as a sophisticated alert system.
