Automation tools in Marketing Cloud

Part of what helped Marketing Cloud to grow to be so powerful and so capable was the innovative ways they baked in automation tools. While most places preferred their automation capabilities to be more developer-friendly and less marketer-friendly, Marketing Cloud did both. They worked to allow marketers to have similar capabilities to the developers and technical experts without the high-level pre-requisite technical knowledge or skill necessary, while also further enabling the technical users' abilities to create custom solutions and integrations within the platform.

As these tools grew in capability and popularity, Marketing Cloud realized that these were items that needed to be bundled into every single enterprise, rather than having them as add-ons or optional.
