Summary

In this chapter, you learned how to configure and operate two important features of Hyper-V: Share Nothing Live Migration and Hyper-V Replica. You also learned how to configure the authentication methods for Live Migration, how to operate it, and how to perform Storage Live Migration.

Furthermore, you learned how to prepare for disasters with Hyper-V Replica, and that it is a part of major business continuity plans. You saw multiple ways of testing a replication and how to properly fail over the VM. Additionally, you saw how to reverse a replication process to restore the environment, and how to extend a replication for a hosting environment.

In the next chapter, you will go through a polemic topic—running your AD on a virtual environment.
