Technical requirements and lab setup

To successfully follow along and complete the tasks and exercises throughout this chapter and the following chapters in this book, we will need to ensure that the technical requirements from Chapter 1, Exam Overview and the Current State of Cloud Workflows, have been completed in full.

We will be primarily reviewing our Hyper-V virtual machine environment and Microsoft Azure to complete the exercises and tasks throughout this chapter to align with the AZ-801 exam objectives. Please ensure that both the AZ801PacktLab-DC-01 and AZ801PacktLab-FS-01 virtual machines have been powered on and are showing a Running state in Hyper-V Manager. We will not be utilizing the failover cluster VMs during this chapter, so they can remain in a powered-off state. We will focus on the requirements, best practices, and hands-on walkthroughs in this chapter that align with the AZ-801 exam objectives.
