As a rule of thumb, be kind to your devices and your cloud computing environments and remove any unused or no longer needed resources when you have completed your training and evaluation for this exam guide. While the virtual machines stored on your laptop may only be using up storage, resources allocated in the Azure or Microsoft 365 cloud environments can incur additional unexpected costs if they’re not properly deleted or removed.

To completely remove all local Hyper-V virtual machines

Follow these steps:

  1. Open Hyper-V Manager.
  2. Select all virtual machines that begin with the name AZ801... and then right-click and select Delete....
  3. Open Virtual Switch Manager, select any virtual switches that begin with the name AZ801, and select Remove one by one.
  4. Navigate to the C:\AZ801PacktLab folder located on your device and delete the folder and its entire contents.
