Time for action — creating and using Event sheets and groups


Before we create our game events, we'll need an event sheet to include in each of the levels of our game. We'll also need groups to separate the events into understandable sections.

  1. 1. Open the Project view and rename our first layout to Level1 and its event sheet to Level1 events.

  2. 2. Then, right-click the folder Event Sheets, then click the option Add event sheet.

  3. 3. Click on the new event sheet name to rename it to Game. Then switch over to the Event Sheet Editor in our Level1 layout.

  4. 4. Right-click on this layout to bring up the context menu and select Include event sheet. We then have a white bar we can right-click to select the Game event sheet.

  5. 5. Next, right-click on the white bar again and select Go-to include to open the Game event sheet in a new tab.

  6. 6. We now have our event sheet ready for groups to be added to it. Right-click the empty space and select Insert group from the context menu. Enter a Title of the Game and...
