Implementing best practices
Once planning is complete, we can start creating our chatbots. When doing so, there are some considerations that will make our life a lot easier.
Let's review some of these.
Starting small and building up
When implementing a chatbot for the first time, take a pilot approach. Create a bot with a smaller footprint, a reduced number of topics, and a smaller target audience. Monitor its usage during the pilot and identify a selected mix of simple and advanced topics that provide the most success. Then look at ways to improve and build on that to create a more robust offering.
As you expose the chatbot to a larger audience, you now have a framework of items to monitor for, as well as a defined approach to pushing enhancements.
Creation of the first bot versus additional bots
When you create your first chatbot, make sure to select the correct environment during the creation process.
