Improving List Experiences with View Formatting

As we already learned in Chapter 4, the lists and libraries are key elements for hosting content in SharePoint. In the same chapter, we also looked at how the user experience of lists and libraries can be customized using views, different view styles, and view and column formattings by changing fonts, colors, and border settings. Simple rules for conditional formatting are also possible.

With advanced column and view formattings, it’s possible to customize the HTML structure and CSS styles of lists and libraries for more flexible customization options. Advanced formatting also supports adding links, launching Power Automate cloud flows, and customizing click actions.
