Summary

In this chapter, we were introduced to the Microsoft 365 and Power Platform Community and some solutions the community has developed to enhance user experience and simplify maintenance and automations.

First, we delved into PnP PowerShell and how to install and authenticate with it. We also saw a couple of small examples of how to use it to manage SharePoint content.

Next, we learned about PnP site templates, which are a mechanism to provision artifacts to SharePoint. We also investigated how to export templates from existing SharePoint sites and how to use them to distribute page templates.

Finally, we learned how to use PnP Modern Search web parts to create search-enabled solutions. We looked at how to build a search center and how to use web parts as part of SharePoint page content.
