Variables and Advanced Actions

Inserting an extra slide

First, you need to insert a new slide into the project. To speed you up, this slide has already been created for you. All you need to do is copy-paste it using the following steps:

  1. Still in the chapter14/takeTheTrain.cptx project, use the Filmstrip to return to the first slide of the project.
  2. Open the Chapter14/geolocation.cptx file.
  3. In the Filmstrip, select and copy the first and only slide of the project.
  4. Return to the takeTheTrain.cptx.cptx file and paste the slide just after the first slide of the project. The new slide is inserted as slide 2.
  5. Select the No I will Skip It button.
  6. In the Actions tab of the Properties inspector, change the action of the button to Jump To Slide.
  7. Select the last slide of the project (Slide 33) in the Slide dropdown that appears just below it.
  8. Make sure that the Action of the other button is set to Go to the next slide.
