Setting the passing score of a Quiz

When the student reaches the Quiz Results slide, Captivate displays a Pass/Fail message that depends on the Quiz score. To display this message, Captivate must be informed of what the passing score of the Quiz is. If the student reaches that passing score, Captivate displays the Pass Message; otherwise, the Fail Message is displayed.

In this section, you will set the passing score of the Quiz and add some branching. First, you will import an additional slide in the project and place it after the Quiz. This slide should be displayed only to the students that passed the Quiz. Perform the following steps to import the new slide:

  1. Open the Chapter07/quizFeedback.cptx file.
  2. In the Filmstrip, select the one and only slide of that project.
  3. Use the Ctrl+C (Windows) or the Cmd+C (Mac) shortcut to copy the selected slide.
  4. Return to slide 32 of the takeTheTrain.cptx file and paste the slide using the Ctrl+V (Windows) or the Cmd+V (Mac) shortcut.
