Resizing and repositioning the webcam feed

The webcam feed in a Video Demo project is recorded and added to the project as a separate layer. This gives you the power to resize and reposition it the way you like:

  1. With the encoderVideo.cpvc file still open, click the View | Magnification | Best Fit menu item. 
If you had a problem recording the Video Demo, use the Chapter09/encoderVideo_Start.cpvc file from your exercises folder.

Notice that the webcam recording is placed at the bottom-right corner of the screen. This is the default placement of the webcam recording.

  1. Click the webcam recording and drag it to the bottom-left corner of the stage.

Most of the action takes place in the right side of the screen in this Video Demo, so the left side is the best place for the webcam feed for this screen recording.

  1. You can also increase or decrease the size of the webcam recording to your liking. Click and drag the top-right handle of the webcam recording to increase...
