I'm not sure if the deformers sounds more like a washed-up rock band from the 80s or some sort of obscure comic book series about mutants. In actuality, deformers are handy tools that allow you to manipulate the shape and structure of the objects you model, without affecting the object permanently. Calling something "deformed" isn't really the nicest thing you can say, but it has a positive connotation inside Cinema 4D. The deformers are very useful and can help you pull off the right kind of alteration or animation inside your project.
In the last chapter, we explored modeling and learned how to edit and alter the structure of polygonal objects, and once we changed the structure of the object, it remained that way, unless you retraced your steps via the Undo command.
