Lighting specific objects

One of the unique features about lighting in a 3D application such as Cinema 4D is you can apply lights to your scene and select specific objects to receive, or not receive, light from any particular source. Think about how awesome that is for a second! There's no way you can possibly pull this off in real life; you can't open your refrigerator and tell the light inside only to illuminate food you think tastes good or only food you should be eating while on your diet. Whatever is in the path of light gets illuminated here in the real world, and a photographer often has to go to great lengths to try to dodge and burn, which is the process of adding or removing light from specific objects or parts of the composition. Lucky for you, with the 3D designer we have options in Cinema 4D that allow us to achieve this rather easily.
