I tend to watch film or television with a critical eye at all times. Whenever some motion graphics come on the screen, I immediately begin analyzing the design. I try my best to figure out what the designer did to pull off the effect. There are times when I know the name of the special font being used. I notice when someone didn't do a good enough job keying their green screen footage. Once or twice, I've even recognized the online video tutorial. The person must have lazily based their entire effect, because it seems all too familiar to something I've seen.
I don't recommend doing this if you can help it. It can be such a pain. I'd often love to be able to shut off my brain and just be entertained by what's on the screen in front of me, but it's a bad habit of mine, or a good habit if you want to recognize what it takes to get quality work on television.
