Identifying the appropriate licensing for advanced life cycle management

With life cycle management in Microsoft Teams, administrators can plan all the stages of existence for a team – the beginning, the middle, and the end. Expiration policies for Microsoft 365 groups are used in such instances where a team should expire and be deleted at the end of its life cycle.

Azure AD Premium licenses are required to use the group expiration features of Azure AD.

The Azure AD Premium P1 license is the minimum requirement for supporting group expiration features in Azure AD and life cycle management in Microsoft Teams.

Any license SKU that includes Azure AD Premium P1 or Azure AD Premium P2 is capable of supporting this feature.

Next, we will examine the licensing requirements for supporting guest access in Microsoft Teams.
