Segmenting tools
We’ll be using the word segment in two different ways. The first is perhaps the most literal way, the action of breaking or identifying a subset of your contacts, and the second is to refer to the abstract object we create in your audience. When we save a segment we create, we’ll still refer to that subset as a segment.
Segmenting is the application of all of this prep work and what makes this juice worth the squeeze. By setting specific logic within a segment, we can use both data the audience members provide you with and the actions those contacts take in response to your campaigns to better understand what engages them. This is the tool we will use to let the application do the heavy lifting of applying logic to your overall list and sending it to the right audience members each time.
